Our mission at Park Road Veterinary Clinic is to understand your pet needs and provide accurate guidance and advice. We can help you with numerous concerns, from puppy and kitten advice to behavioural and dietary consults to end of life discussions. We can also assist with determining the urgency of a situation and deciding whether your pet requires immediate care or whether you can wait to see your regular veterinarian or alternatively provide some management at home.

I graduated in 1993 from the Ontario Veterinary College and joined the clinic in 2004. An area of interest in veterinary medicine for me is internal medicine. My favourite thing about Clappison Animal Hospital is that I love the way the staff is one big family. We all love working with animals and with each other.
What I love most about my job is medical cases, I enjoy the journey of diagnosing an animal and making it better. A fun fact about me is that I was born and raised in downtown Toronto, but got a degree in Agriculture at the University of Guelph; I was even on the square dance team! My love of animals made a career in veterinary medicine a natural choice. I have a husband and two daughters, who love animals and who help me fill my spare time. I enjoy taking my dogs for walks through the woods, identifying any birds and wildlife that we have not scared away.
In 2018, Dr. Merry was awarded the Flamborough Reader's Choice Award for Gold Veterinarian.

I graduated in 1997 from Ontario Veterinary College and joined the clinic in 2009. I like all aspects of medicine and surgery, but I have an interest in complicated gastro-intestinal cases. My favourite thing about Clappison Animal Hospital is the fun and energetic team that we have, and the variety of clients that we serve.
What I love most about my job is helping pets heal, and the enjoyment it brings to their owners. A fun fact about me is that my wife and I lived and practiced in England for four years. I now live near Carlisle, with my wife, son and daughter. We share our home with Ba-Lackie, the blind cat and Dora, the Bullmastiff. We also have a small flock of laying hens in the backyard, a Netherland Dwarf rabbit named Tank, two beehives and a growing population of 'red wigglers' in our basement worm composting system. Last but not least, I was known as Steve “Longhair” in university, sadly it is true.
In 2018, Dr. Longridge was awarded the Flamborough Reader's Choice Award for Platinum Veterinarian.

I graduated from Ridgetown College in 2000. From there I worked at a few small town vet clincs. I began my adventures in Nutrition began just shortly after. I have absolutely enjoyed being able to help may pet owners make choices on dietary options for their furry family members. It has been such a great experience helping most often with weight loss programs with Fluffy or Fido. I look forward to helping many more families and their pets with any diet questions or concerns.
